The Waitlist

A short wait now.
A smoother journey after.

Yes, there is a wait to start.
It is on purpose, and it is the reason training here runs so smoothly.

We deliberately keep more aircraft than instructors. That means a short wait to get started, but once you are in, there are no gaps between your ratings, almost nothing cancels except weather, and our own maintenance shop keeps the fleet flying. The wait on the front end is what buys you a fast, uninterrupted run from your first lesson to your last checkride.

Why There Is a Wait

It is a choice, not a shortage

Most schools take every student they can the moment they walk in, then make them wait for an aircraft or an instructor before every single lesson once they have started. At a lot of them that means booking three or four weeks out, sometimes a full month, just to get your next lesson on the calendar. We do the opposite. We keep more aircraft on the ramp than we have full-time instructors, on purpose, so that the people already training never have to battle availability like that. The trade is simple: a wait to get on, in exchange for a clear runway once you are on it.

The waitlist is free, there is no deposit, and joining locks in your place in line. The smart move is to spend that time getting ahead, so the day your slot opens you are ready to fly, not ready to start studying.

What the Wait Buys You

The pay-off, once you start

W · 01

Time to get ahead.

Use the wait to work through your study guide and pass the written exam, ideally at 85% or better, 90% if you can. Walk in with the book work behind you and your flying goes faster and cheaper from lesson one.

W · 02

No gaps between ratings.

Because the capacity is there, you flow straight from Private to Instrument to Commercial with no waiting for a slot between them. The momentum you build is never broken, which is what actually gets people finished.

W · 03

Almost nothing cancels.

With more aircraft than instructors, a tied-up plane rarely costs you a lesson. Realistically the only thing that scrubs a flight here is the weather, not a scheduling crunch or a booked-out airframe.

W · 04

The fleet stays flying.

We run our own maintenance shop in house. Aircraft come back online quickly instead of sitting grounded for weeks waiting on an outside shop, the way they can at other schools. More available planes, more consistent training.

Use the Wait Well

Show up ready to fly

The students who get the most out of the waitlist treat it as a head start. Read through the free Waitlist Study Guide, get your FAA medical sorted, and sit the written exam so it is done before you ever touch the controls. Our New Student Guide walks you through every step.
